Science experiments!

Since I've been at home more, Addie and I have done a few science experiments together . It's fun seeing things through the eyes of a three year old! I usually end up making a big mess (sorry hon) but we are a family of engineers....not a house cleaning gene in this body! I just have to force myself to clean and it's even harder with my little buddy in one arm (note to self: must teach baby to self entertain).

So far we have made our own sidewalk chalk, made "fireworks" from an oil and water suspension using food coloring, and learned about dissolving by dumping various powders from the kitchen (salt, flour, cocoa, etc.) into water and hypothesizing whether or not they will dissolve. Of course the girl loves the "fireworks" because she gets to handle food coloring and then we yell which one is going to "explode" first! I do believe I've used a whole bottle of oil doing this.....all in the name of science right?

The first dance costume!

This has to be special for all moms. The very first time your little girl puts on that sparkly dance costume and sees herself....so sweet! Addie's class are Eskimos at their recital, but to Addie, she is Cinderella. And a beautiful Cinderella at that!

And I'm Back....

How sad is it that I haven't written here in three years! I have decided that I need to post things for my kids somewhere other than Facebook (and for my mom too since she and Facebook aren't friends). I'm sure one day they will totally appreciate it. Especially since its been about that long since I've printed out photos either! I love me a digital camera.... But sure miss flipping through crackly old pages of bad photos :)

Jacobs dedication was yesterday at Hunter Street Baptist. So sweet to promise to bring up this child according to God's Plan. We love him so much and it's hard to believe that God loves us even more!
